In 2000, the businessman Gervasio Costa, Mr. Jeronymo’s son in law, bought Tannery J. Kempe. Gervasio Costa always liked challenges, and even though the Tannery was small at this time, he saw it as a major challenge. Fortunately with many years of experience as an entrepreneur, he saw quite a few ways to improve the Tannery J. Kempe. He initiated a plan of action for the company. This included improving the production and machinery, increasing the production lines and the demand in the domestic market, and lastly entering the international market with a quality product.
